After successfully leading the College through some difficult times into the promising position we now hold, our current Principal and Chief Executive, Dr Lis Smith, is retiring at the end of March 2021, and we are seeking applications for her successor who will work in partnership with the Board to ensure Preston’s College continues its upward journey to deliver excellence, with employable, fulfilled learners, who together with the communities we serve, respect us as their partner and ally for success.

Supported by a confident leadership team, the College is well set to take on the changing face of the education landscape and is seeking to appoint an ambitious and dynamic Principal and Chief Executive to deliver for students and employers across central Lancashire and beyond.
This is an exciting time for a new Principal and Chief Executive to work with the Board to deliver the strategic plan, through inspirational leadership, prudent financial management and an unrelenting focus on learner outcomes. You will lead an experienced senior leadership team to deliver a responsive business model that drives quality and promotes innovation, aligned to the college’s mission, whilst building sustainable relations across the region with key stakeholders and employer groups.
