COMMON HEALTH CONDITIONS - LEVEL 2 CERTIFICATE

This qualification is designed for those looking to start work in, or already working in health and social care, who would like an understanding of common health conditions and their effects on individuals. This qualification aims to develop your knowledge and understanding of various common health conditions and the monitoring of the health of those affected by health conditions.

WHAT WILL I LEARN?

You will study a range of highly engaging modules, including:

  • Understanding how to contribute to the monitoring of health affected by health conditions
  • Cardiovascular disease
  • Respiratory disease
  • Parkinsons disease
  • Stroke

HOW WILL I BE TAUGHT?

Teaching will take place in the classroom here at Preston College.

HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?

All modules will be internally assessed using a range of methods which could include a portfolio of evidence, workbook or set tasks.

WHAT CAN I DO NEXT?

Learners who achieve this qualification may choose to progress onto another professional short course here at Preston College, including Supporting Individuals with Learning Difficulties or Mental Health First Aid and Mental Health Advocacy Level 2.

IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE I NEED TO KNOW?

To be awarded the NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Common Health Conditions, you must pass all of the mandatory modules listed above.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

You must be able to evidence that you can work at Level 1 or above in English.
