This qualification is designed to enhance your understanding of autism and equip you with practical strategies to support individuals effectively. It is ideal for those working in, or looking to progress into teaching assistant roles and wider education support roles, as well as care workers and those pursuing careers within the health and social care sector.

HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?
There will be no formal examinations for this qualification. We will assess your knowledge, understanding and skills, against the crieria set against each module. Your method of assessment will be completion of 6 workbook assignments.
WHAT CAN I DO NEXT?
If you are looking to progress to higher-level study, this qualification currently carries UCAS points. Please refer to the UCAS website for the latest information regarding points allocation.
This course can enhance your existing experience or support you in gaining employment within healthcare, social care, education, or voluntary roles. It may also provide a pathway into more specialist positions supporting individuals with autism.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Whilst formal English qualifications are not required for entry onto this programme, you will need to demonstrate a sufficient level of English to enable you to fully participate with all aspects of your course, and successfully achieve the qualification.
Your English level will be assessed during the application process. This may be evidenced through previously achieved qualifications (Level 2 Grade 4 (C) or Level 2 Functional Skills), or via an English assessment, where appropriate.
To enrol on this course, you must either hold a Level 2 Understanding Autism qualification or be currently working within a relevant sector.
