T-LEVEL IN BUSINESS & ADMINISTRATION

Duration: 2 years
Level: Level 3

The T-Level in Business and Administration is ideal for students looking towards a career in business, management, or entrepreneurship. Combining classroom study with a 45-day industry placement, this qualification will help you develop the skills, knowledge and experience you need to launch a successful career.

You will learn how companies operate and cover topics such as event management, finance and budgeting, HR, marketing, and sustainability in business.

T-Levels are a great way to progress to degree apprenticeships and because they are worth up to 168 UCAS points (the same as three A-Levels), they can also be used for entry to a range of business-related degree programmes at university.

WHAT WILL I LEARN?

You will build a strong foundation of knowledge and skills that can be applied to any industry.

YEAR ONE

Business Context: explore how organisations operate including cultures, governance and their impact on society.

People: explore recruitment, performance management, employee wellbeing, and team dynamics.

Quality & Compliance: introduction to regulatory frameworks, standards and continuous improvement practices.

Finance: budgeting, financial reporting, and cost control.

Policies & Procedures: covering business ethics, risk management, and internal controls.

Project & Change Management: learn how to plan and manage change using recognised models and strategies.

Business Behaviours: Develop your professional communication, decision-making, and workplace conduct.

Employer Set Project: Using the knowledge and skills from previous units to complete a project set by employers for a real-world business challenge.

YEAR TWO

In the second year, students will focus on the Business Support occupational specialism pathway. The Business Support pathway focuses on supporting the day-to-day running of an organisation, organising and prioritising workloads, managing business information and communication, and building stakeholder relationships. Students will also learn how to recommend improvements to business practices and use digital tools and systems effectively.
