This Level 1 course offers you the opportunity to develop your hands on skills and knowledge required in to work in this industry, helping to improve your employability and get you into employment.
WHAT WILL I LEARN?
You will learn the importance of safe working practices, effectively communicating with others and relevant industry techniques, tools, materials and equipment. You will use this knowledge to develop your practical skills and learn how to prepare backgrounds, set out, tile and grout wall and floor areas. At the end of the course you will have the skills and knowledge to measure and cut a variety of different tiles and learn how to fix tile trimmings and achieve the following qualifications:
Entry level 3 in Construction Careers
Level 1 Award in Health & Safety
CSCS Approval
Level 1 Certificate in Wall & Floor Tiling
HOW WILL I BE TAUGHT?
You will perfect your skills in practical workshops consisting of purpose-built pods. The pods house everything needed to complete the course, including walls, steps and beading. Each learner will have access to their own pod, for the duration of their time on the course.

WHAT CAN I DO NEXT?
On successful completion of Level 1 you can seek employment as an Apprentice.
IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE I NEED TO KNOW?
You'll need your own stationery and personal protective equipment including safety boots and work clothing. All other tools and equipment are provided.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
You will need a profile of mainly grade 2s (Es) at GCSE including English Language and Maths.
