This course is ideal for those looking to enhance their baking skills, each cake baking course aims to equip you with the skills to bake and decorate a range of cakes through our hands-on programme.

What will I learn?

During each cake baking course, you will learn how to bake and decorate the following types of cake:

Cake Baking 1

  • Traditional Victoria sponge cake with homemade jam
  • Carrot cake with cream cheese frosting
  • Rich chocolate fudge cake

Cake Baking 2 

  • Coffee and walnut cake
  • Light chocolate fudge cake with white chocolate buttercream
  • Red velvet cake with mascarpone frosting

Cake Baking 3

  • Lemon drizzle cake
  • Coconut and pineapple cake
  • Rainbow cake

How will I be taught?

You will be taught through a series of demonstrations on how to bake and decorate a number of different cakes. You will then be able to apply your practices alongside our experienced tutors. 

How will I be assessed?

There are no exams in this course but your progress will be monitored by our experienced tutors who will offer advice on how to improve and develop.

What can I do next?

You can enrol on to one, two or all three of the cake baking courses. We also run cake decorating courses.

Is there anything else I need to know?

The cost is £40 per level.
