The aim of this qualification is to recognise the skills, knowledge and competence required for an individual to work unsupervised as a Personal Trainer. You will have the opportunity to improve your client’s overall well-being, enhance their fitness levels, improve their confidence and help them train for specific sports or events. You will be designing tailored training programmes, encouraging clients to train effectively and ensuring that they work out safely.
You will develop the skills and knowledge required to plan and prepare a gym based exercise programmes for both individuals and groups. You will learn how to support clients and design a programme that helps them to achieve their goals including a variety of balanced exercises showing progression and adaptation of exercises so as to offer the most effective and specific workout for your client. Modules include:
Certificate modules: Anatomy and Physiology (Level 3), Principles of Exercise for Fitness and Health, Health, Safety & Welfare in a Fitness Environment, Know How to Support Clients who take part in Physical Activity, Planning a Personal Training Session and Delivering a Personal Training Session.
Diploma modules: Business Skills for the Fitness Professional, Sports Conditioning and Instructing Outdoor Fitness.

- A written case study in nutrition for physical activity,
- A portfolio of evidence in planning training sessions,
- Practical Assessments,
- Practical deliveries of your planned training sessions plus evaluation,
- Case studies based on business for the fitness professional, sports conditioning and outdoor activity
- Finally, you will plan, teach and evaluate an outdoor fitness session.
On successful completion of the course you will achieve a Level 3 Qualification, Certificate in Personal Training. If you complete the Diploma modules you will receive Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training. Both qualifications will allow you entry to Reps Level 3.

Must hold a Level 2 Fitness Instructor Qualification. Be 16 years or over. Current level of fitness must be high. Must have experience of regular Gym use. To include; CV machines, Fixed, Free and Body Weight Exercises. Have a passion for fitness. You must also attend an interview.
