AM2/AM2S/AM2E Assessments
(AM2 / AM2S / AM2E)
The AM2 Assessment is for those who will be applying for an ECS gold card.
Before assessment, AM2 (AM2 / AM2S / AM2E) candidates must be enrolled on or have completed an associated vocational programme of study at Level 3 or equivalent, which covers the knowledge associated with the electrotechnical industry including installations.
In all cases, the gateway evidence must be Awarding Organisation documents that clearly show registration number, qualification number and registration date (such as learner history or certificates)
Assessments will be scheduled for 25 hours over 3 days
Are assessment times are as follows:
| Day 1 | 08.00 – 18.00 |
| Day 2 | 08.00 – 18.00 |
| Day 3 | 08.00 – 13.00 |
Start Days are Mondays and Tuesdays only
Candidates MUST bring:
- A valid (in date) photo identity
- PPE (work boots/work trousers)
To book an appointment to undertake the Pre-Assessment programme, AM2 End Point Assessment or to undertake a Resit Assessment, please use one of the short application forms below, and a member of the team will contact you shortly thereafter. For booking the Pre-Assessment Training course, or AM2, AM2S, AM2E Initial Assessments, select book Initial Assessment. For booking a Resit Assessment, select book a Resit.
If you require to Resit the assessments the times are as follows:

Section E (online) 16:00 -18:00 Mon/Wed/Thurs (subject to availability)

Payments
Payments can be made via our Payment page. You will need to provide a course code; these will have been issued in your Preston College confirmation email and will look like:

Where X is a number.
You will receive a confirmation email upon successful receipt of payment.
