Not One but Three Hairdressing Learners Reach Concept Hair Final!

Congratulations go to not one but three of our hairdressing learners, who have reached the grand final of the prestigious Concept Hair Learner of the Year Final. Jasmine, Emma and Imrana will all be competing in the live grand final at Solihull College and University Centre on Thursday 24th March 2022.

This national competition gives the next generation of hairdressers and barbers the chance to be recognised for their hard work and skills, alongside the prestige of winning a UK competition for both themselves and their college.

Jasmine will compete in the Avant-Garde category, with Emma and Imrana competing in the Level 1 Styling category.

On the day, each competitor will create a look on a live model, keeping within their category theme, with overall category winners announced at the end of the competition.

After last year’s virtual event, 2022 sees a return to a live experience, where participants will create their look, enhanced by make-up and clothing, and showcase this to a live audience.

Commenting on learner, Jasmine, Tutor Mandy Greenall said:

“Jasmine returned to college to refresh her skills, as she has previously completed a Level 2 hairdressing qualification. She has shown a passion and dedication to competition work and is showing an extreme talent in this area, with her technical skills.

I believe Jasmine has the skills and creativity to succeed in a range of skills based competitions, alongside the talent and commitment needed and I wish her luck for the Concept Hair competition final.”

Good luck Jasmine, Emma and Imrana from everyone where at Preston College, we can’t wait to see your final pieces!
