ONE WEEK TO GO!

The Preston College Exceptional Employer and Apprentice Awards 2024

With just a week remaining until the highly anticipated Preston College Exceptional Employer and Apprentice Awards 2024, excitement is well and truly building, as our finalists eagerly await the announcement of this year’s winners.

This prestigious event, scheduled for Monday 25 March at the College, promises to be an evening filled with celebration and appreciation.

Following a rigorous selection process, finalists have been carefully chosen from over 120 nominations, submitted by college staff, employer partners and external stakeholders.

Employer finalists have been chosen for their dedication, innovation, and commitment to the College and for the support they have shown to their apprentices.

The exceptional apprentice finalists have been chosen for their hard work, resilience and loyalty to the organisations they work for, which has set them apart from the rest and earnt them a coveted place among the distinguished nominees.

Linzi Monks, Head of Apprenticeships and Employer Engagement says; “We are thrilled to announce the fifth year of these awards. The evening always promises to be something spectacular. This year the calibre has been higher than ever – the nominations each year get stronger, and I know it has been difficult for our Executive Leadership Team to choose the winners for this year’s awards.

Linzi adds “It is important as a college that we celebrate our apprentices, and also the employers that we work with who appoint, nurture and support these individuals. Apprenticeships, as well as industry placements, give individuals the opportunity to explore different career paths, discover their passions, and realise their full potential.”

Simon Nixon, Principal and Chief Executive says; “Apprenticeships enrich our community, drive economic growth, address skills shortages and promote social mobility. By investing in apprenticeships, we invest in the future success of our community, which is why it is important to celebrate the successes and achievements within this education pathway.” Congratulations to all the finalists this year. Without your continual and consistent support, apprenticeships wouldn’t be the same and we would not be able to host these awards. So, as the countdown to the awards ceremony begins, anticipation mounts – keep your eyes peeled to find out who will be this year’s winners!
