Biography
Kate Wallace began her career in industry before moving into further education. Kate holds a recognised teaching qualification, a degree in Education and a Master’s in Educational Leadership. Kate has progressed through a range of roles including Trainer Assessor, Lecturer and Head of Faculty, before moving into senior leadership positions in Further Education colleges, including Group Director of Apprenticeships and Employer Engagement, Assistant Principal and Deputy Principal.
In these roles, Kate has led large-scale provision, driven improvements in curriculum quality and student outcomes and developed strong employer partnerships to support skills delivery and workforce development. Kate has also contributed to strategic planning, led quality improvement initiatives, supported curriculum teams to enhance teaching and learning and used data effectively to inform decision-making and drive performance.
Kate is passionate about high-quality learning and teaching, improving outcomes for all students and promoting lifelong learning. Kate is also equally committed to the positive impact education can have on individuals, employers and the wider community.
Outside of work, Kate enjoys spending time with her family. With two young boys, life is always busy, active and fun, and Kate’s loves being part of whatever they’re getting up to.
