Martin has worked for over 25 years in the education sector including 12 years as a senior leader in secondary schools across the North West. He also spent over 5 years working within local government before setting up his own educational consultancy business that has seen him work across schools and local authorities up and down the country. His professional roles have focussed on working to ensure that young people gain the most from the educational opportunities that are presented to them no matter what their background or postcode and this is something that he has brought to his role on the governing board.
