Sylwia Jurasz is proud to serve as the 19+ Student Governor at Preston College. Sylwia is currently studying for a Foundation Degree in Health and Social Care (Mental Health), a field that reflects Sylwia’s professional experience and personal passion.

Sylwia has worked in the healthcare sector for over ten years, supporting individuals with dementia and complex needs. Throughout this time, Sylwia has developed a strong commitment to person-centred care and to promoting dignity, understanding and positive mental health outcomes.

Sylwia’s studies are helping her to build on that experience, deepening her knowledge and enabling her to apply new insights directly to her work.

Sylwia believes in creating an inclusive, supportive environment where every student can thrive. Outside college and work, Sylwia loves spending time outdoors. Nature and hiking help her recharge and maintain a healthy balance between study, work, and wellbeing.
