• Assist in preparing HGV trailers for MOT inspections.
• Carry out routine maintenance on telehandlers and spreader machines.
• Support with small repairs to HGVs, including mechanical and structural tasks.
• Use various hand tools and electric tools (e.g., drills, impact guns) safely and effectively.
• Perform equipment testing and pressure testing to ensure compliance and safety.
• Work within a pit lane and test lane environment on a fleet of 85 trailers.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed and follow health & safety procedures.
• Engage in continuous learning and development, including manufacturer and technical courses.
WORKING HOURS PER WEEK
40 hours, shifts vary between 7.30am – 6.00pm
REQUIRED SKILLS
• Good attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Basic understanding of tools and mechanical principles (preferred but not essential).
REQUIRED QUALITIES
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn and listen.
• Interest in engineering, mechanics, or vehicle maintenance.
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferable GCSE grade 4 or above in maths and English, however you may work toward this alongside the apprenticeship
