Year 2 Applied Science learners delve into a forensic science workshop

Dive into the world of forensic science with our Year 2 Applied Science learners! ??‍?

On Wednesday 27 November, our Applied Science learners immersed themselves in the Young Scientist Centre at The University of Central Lancashire – UCLan. They delved into an engaging forensic science workshop, mastering the art of separating DNA fragments using cutting-edge gel electrophoresis techniques. ?

Our learners also had an exclusive opportunity to step into mock crime scenes, unravelling the mysteries behind diverse evidential pieces that play a pivotal role in reconstructing a crime. It was an enthralling experience that widened perspectives and fuelled curiosity.?

A big thanks to The University of Central Lancashire for graciously hosting us and for making this experience possible for our aspiring scientists! ??‍?
