The Level 2 Award in Creative Media Production & Technology has been designed to provide students with the skills, knowledge and understanding necessary to progress to further study and training in a range of media related subjects including games design, website design, film, TV and more.

WHAT WILL I LEARN?

Introduction and education on the entire Photoshop interface. You'll learn how to use the tools within the software to properly retouch photos, adjust images, levels, use masking, selection techniques and utilising layers. This progresses into blending modes, layer styles and masking. Complex and advanced processes will be covered such as effects compositing, image optimisation, digital painting and channel control..

The course will teach you all methods whilst following industry best practice, whether that's for the workplace or as a hobby. During the course you will be given a concept and design brief to work to, the level of which depends on your skills and experience prior to attending the course.

HOW WILL I BE TAUGHT?

The creative aspects are delivered through a range of practical workshops that initially cover image adjustments, levels, selection techniques and layers. HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?

Assessment is through coursework. You will be given a concept and design brief to work towards and your final product will be graded from this. Your progress will also be monitored through various methods including peer assessment, presentations, homework and tutor discussions.
