If you are creative and wish to learn new skills, then why not try learning to paint with watercolours? This course is aimed at those with no previous painting experience who simply want to learn a new skill while meeting new people.
This course is ideal for beginners. During the course, you will be introduced to techniques, materials and processes to help you develop the skills to work independently. Every week we cover a specific aspect of painting such as washes, colour and drawing. Using a variety of subject matter, you will put into practice what you learn during the sessions.
You will be taught by our specialist tutors who will help you to learn at your own pace.
There are no exams during this course, however, you will be encouraged to keep a portfolio containing handouts and examples of your work to demonstrate your progress.
For the first two weeks bring a pencil, paper and eraser. There will be additional costs and you will be advised on what to buy. If you have your own watercolours and brushes please bring them to your first class.
For the first session, you do not need to bring anything. During this session you will be advised on what to buy for the remainder of the course. If you do have your own watercolours and brushes, please bring them with you.
A keen interest in the course. You will not take any exams in this course but will be encouraged by your tutor to keep a portfolio with handouts, photographs and examples of the work you complete to demonstrate progress you have made and for your own future reference.
