HOW WILL I BE TAUGHT?

You will be taught on campus, in our purpose built, i-STEM facility, allowing you to take a hands-on approach to learning, as the course combines practical work with theory based assignments. Taught by industry experienced lecturers, with a curriculum designed to meet demanding industry needs, the small class sizes allow for regular lecturer contact time.

HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?

Assessment methods will vary by module to module but typically include written and practical assignment tasks, laboratory work, essays, report writing, presentations, work portfolios, practical tasks and projects.

WHAT CAN I DO NEXT?

With the skillset offered by chemists being highly specialist and chemistry being one of the hardest skillsets to recruit for, those offering higher level skills and knowledge may choose to progress into a multitude of in demand roles, dependant on desired career pathways and progression plans.

You may also choose to progress onto a relevant degree at university, with the HNC providing a strong skills set and additional confidence for higher level learning. To progress onto higher level study, an additional application needs to be made.
