This course is progression only. You must have a Level 2 Beauty Therapy diploma to study this course.
Preston's College have partnered with Ribby Hall's Spa Hotel to offer a unique training experience for those looking to start a career in Spa Therapy. This Level 3 technical qualification will provide you with the skills and experience you need to start a successful career as a Spa Therapist.
Your career as a Spa Therapist will rely on the development of customer service skills, communication, team work and therapy techniques to provide a range of services such as facials, massages and body wraps.
WHAT WILL I LEARN?
You will learn all the required elements to work effectively as a spa therapist including health and safety, client care and providing spa treatments such as hydrotherapy, body wraps, sauna, steam and spa operation.
You will also undertake units to enhance your range of practical skills such as body massage, massage with pre-blended aroma oils, stone therapy and Indian head massage.
HOW WILL I BE TAUGHT?
You will be taught by industry experienced tutors from Preston's College. Some of your learning, training and assessments will take place at Ribby Hall's Hotel and Spa, Wrea Green. Some modules may be delivered online remotely.

WHAT CAN I DO NEXT?
You can progress to a Level 4 qualification in Spa Management or begin your career in spa therapy looking for employment in a range of settings including beauty salons, day spas, destination/hotel spas and cruise liners.
IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE I NEED TO KNOW?
Extensive work experience is part of the programme. You will be supported by the Careers Team during your work experience placement.
You will need a Level 2 Diploma in Beauty Therapy and attend an interview where previous achievements will be discussed. A place will be offered at the discretion of the interviewer.
