PC41292 Photography Intermediate
This course aims to introduce the basics of DSLR control, through to more advanced operational features to create professional images.
The Level 2 Award in Photography has been designed to provide students with an exciting and challenging experience, which will introduce them to the rigours and rewards of exploring and working within creative activities.
The qualifications, whilst allowing learners to build on prior experience, will require them to approach new intellectual and material challenges, designed to deliver an independent critical understanding and extended skills base.
These qualifications form part of the UAL ‘Creative Framework’ suite of qualifications and have been designed and written by a team of practitioners working in the sector.
Learners will gain skills in full manual control, studio lighting and equipment, gain an understanding of practitioners and their ways of working and look into creating a photographic project. There will be elements of Adobe Photoshop included in the course, as well as considerations to the output of images including digital and print based photography.
You will be taught in one of our computer suites and our photography studio. You will also shoot at a variety of locations. The course will involve individual, paired and group work.
You will be assessed through coursework.
The course will supply all the skills needed for learners to apply to any area of photography including commercial and documentary practises.
You will need a digital camera with a fully charged battery.
