Developing Skills to Make a Greater Difference

After completing his apprenticeship, Aaron returned to Preston College with a clear purpose to develop the knowledge and teaching skills needed to strengthen the education he provides through his alternative provision centres in Blackpool and Preston.

Studying the Level 5 Certificate in Education, Aaron has developed expertise in lesson planning, curriculum design and academic writing, equipping him with the skills to enhance the learning experience for the young people he supports every day. By investing in his own professional development, he is helping to create even greater opportunities for the learners in his care.

Alongside developing professionally, Aaron has valued the opportunity to network with fellow education professionals, sharing ideas and learning from their experiences, while benefiting from the guidance and encouragement of tutors.

Reflecting on his journey, Aaron said:

“I’ve learned so much and built a foundation to make a real impact in my community.”

Aaron’s ambitions don’t stop there. He plans to continue his studies while expanding his alternative provision centres nationally, ensuring even more young people can benefit from high-quality education and support. He also hopes to inspire his three daughters by showing that education has the power to transform lives.
