The personal information you provide is held by Preston College and is stored on the College’s computerised record system for the current academic year and a further academic year, in line with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). Where necessary it is also shared with the Department for Education, including Education and Skills Funding Agency, to meet statutory responsibilities, included under the Apprenticeships, Skills, Children and Learning Act 2009. Student Financial Agreement
Prior to finalising this registration/enrolment, all students must agree to the Student Financial Agreement. This Student Financial Agreement acknowledges that course registration/enrolment creates a financial obligation to Preston College (the ‘College’). The Agreement also clarifies cancellation, withdrawal and non-payment conditions. Further details can be found on the website or in the student handbook. Any questions regarding this Student Financial Agreement can be directed by email to fundingandfeesenquiries@preston.ac.uk.
Remission Fees
Where I have provided documentation or have completed declaration forms to entitle me to remission of fees, if it is later found that this evidence is insufficient or I have declared false information, the College may take action against me to reclaim the course fees and any support costs provided.
Cancellation
For an enrolment completed in advance of the course start date, if I decide to cancel my enrolment prior to the course start date, I understand that I must notify Preston’s College in writing by any of the following methods: Completion of the refunds form on the College’s website www.preston.ac.uk Email to refundrequests@preston.ac.uk Write to Refunds, Administration and Information Services, Preston College, St Vincent’s Road, Preston, PR2 8UR All cancellations must be made in writing and are subject to a £20 administration charge. The full fee’s policy is available on request. Non-attendance is not cancellation.
Withdrawal
Registration/enrolment to a course or courses creates a financial obligation to the College. The Fees and Refund Guide is only effective upon receipt of a written request by any of the methods shown above, under the heading of ‘Cancellation’. For the full details of the College’s Fees and Refund Guide, please check the Student Handbook, the College website or ask for a copy at the Advice Centre.
Failure to Pay and Collections for Non-payment
I understand that if I fail to pay the fees that are due, the College’s Student Disciplinary Procedure will be instigated, that may result in disciplinary action including my withdrawal from the course, and I will not be permitted to enrol to any new registration/enrolment until the outstanding fees are settled. Please note that it is the College’s practice to place overdue accounts with an outside collection agency or to pursue the debts via the Courts. I agree to reimburse the College the fees of any collection agency or Court costs that the College incurs in such collection efforts.
Authorisation
I authorise the College and their respective agents and contractors to contact me regarding my student account at the current or any future address, email address or contact telephone number.
Acknowledgement
I understand and agree that once I am registered/enrolled for a course or courses at Preston’s College that I am solely responsible for the payment of resulting tuition, awarding body registration and/or examination fees and any other related course fees. I fully understand, acknowledge and agree that regardless of any expected reliance by me on any third-party resource, including, without limitation, student loan, employer reimbursements, scholarships, or any other external resource, I am and remain personally liable for paying any and all balances due to the College. This agreement constitutes agreement obligating me to pay all outstanding balances due to the College. I hereby acknowledge that I have read this Agreement and fully understand it. By submitting this form, I am agreeing to be bound by all the terms of this Agreement, thereby obligating me to pay all outstanding balances that I may incur with Preston College now and in the future.
Preston College is committed in its duty to safeguard young people and vulnerable adults. I declare that I have never been the subject of a disciplinary situation regarding children, young people or vulnerable adults.
