After building a successful career in accountancy, Shima reached a point where she realised, she wanted something different. Having developed an interest in counselling, she decided to enrol on the Level 4 Counselling Diploma, determined to develop the knowledge and professional skills needed to begin a new career.
Balancing her studies alongside work, the course became much more than a qualification. It was a journey of personal growth that challenged her, built her confidence and helped her discover strengths she never knew she had.
Reflecting on her experience, Shima said:
“During this course, I found out so much about myself. I learnt new skills, met new people and discovered strengths I didn’t know I had. This was a personal journey for me, and I really enjoyed it.”
For Shima, returning to education wasn’t just about changing careers. It gave her the confidence to pursue a career that reflects who she is today and the belief that it’s never too late to start again.
Congratulations, Shima, and we wish you every success as you begin this exciting new chapter.
