Important Stagecoach direct bus service update, week commencing Monday 4th January 2021

As week commencing Monday 4th January 2021 is a remote learning week for all learners, the Stagecoach direct bus services to Preston’s College have been cancelled.  The affected services are the 61C, 68C, 125C, 59C and 40A.

As planned examinations will still be going ahead from Wednesday 6th January, any learner who would normally use one of the direct Stagecoach services to travel to college will need to make alternative arrangements.

Learners can catch a public bus from their local area to the main bus station in Preston and then transfer to service 125, which stops outside of the college on Sharoe Green Lane.  The 125 leaves from Stand 3 at Preston Bus station at 08:00, 08:22, 08:48, 09:11, 09:36, 10:00 and the journey takes approximately 10 – 15 minutes.  The full timetable for other times of the day can be found here.

Please note these changes only affect Stagecoach users, Preston Bus services will run as normal.

Any learner who is in receipt of a college bursary will receive a payment on Friday 8th January 2021.  The amount paid will cover travel and lunches for week commencing 4th January and payment in advance for week commencing 11th January 2021.

If you will be attending college to undertake a scheduled exam, please take the time to plan effectively. Please plan your journey into college in advance so that you do not arrive late for your examination.
