Rachael is passionate about Further Education and the positive difference Preston College makes to the lives of our students, employer partners, and the wider community. Rachael has worked in Further Education for fourteen years, including the past seven years at Preston College, and developed a strong understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing the sector and the importance of putting students at the heart of what we do.

Before joining education, Rachael worked in public relations, advertising and marketing. Rachael has also held senior roles within Further Education, working closely with students, employers, colleagues and external partners to develop recruitment, engagement and growth opportunities.

As Marketing Manager at Preston College, Rachael uses market insight, data and stakeholder feedback to help shape how the College communicates and responds to changing needs. Rachael particularly enjoys understanding what matters to College audiences and finding ways to ensure the College remains welcoming, relevant and connected to its community.

Rachael is proud to serve as a Staff Governor and bring her experience, enthusiasm and perspective to the Board. Rachael is committed to making well-informed, strategic decisions that support the best possible outcomes for our students, strengthen our relationships with employers and the wider community, and contribute to the College’s continued success and future ambitions.
