  • Communication Support Workers (using British Sign Language)

Before you start college

We offer advice and guidance for learners with support needs who are making the move into further education and apprenticeships.

Our transition team meet with prospective learners to discuss and assess support needs before enrolment.

Our transitions team can:

  • Attend high school annual Education Health and Care Plans (EHCP) reviews
  • Organise individual tours and taster sessions
  • Liaise with local authorities and external agencies
  • Provide support at college open days and interviews
  • Assist with DSA applications
  • In the event that your preferred/chosen course is not suitable for you, we will work closely with you and your parent/guardian to look at other suitable opportunities

To discuss your support needs further contact 01772 225328, email or speak to a member of our team at enrolment.

Moving on

As our learners progress and start to consider their next steps, many progress onto Supported Internships, Apprenticeships, Higher Education and employment.

We can help with applications to UCAS, CV writing and interview techniques. Learners also have access to work experience and careers advice and guidance in preparation for their next steps.
