Adults

Preston College adopts an inclusive approach to learning, offering high quality teaching to all, which takes into account individual requirements. Reasonable adjustments are embedded within the classroom, to ensure that those learners with an identified need can fully access the curriculum and the associated assessment processes.

It is recognised that some learners may also need additional support and this will be provided by the Curriculum and Learner Support Team. The focus of support is to remove barriers to learning and develop strategies. Naturally, support needs differ from individual to individual, including those with EHCPs and may include the provision of exam access arrangements, assistive technology, learning support coaches/assistants and communication support workers.

To talk through your potential support needs with a member of the team, please call: 01772 225328 or email: transition@preston.ac.uk

  • Provide support at college open days and interviews
  • Assist with DSA applications
  • In the event that your preferred/chosen course is not suitable for you, we will work closely with you and your parent/guardian to look at other suitable opportunities

To discuss your support needs further contact 01772 225328, email transition@preston.ac.uk or speak to a member of our team at enrolment.
