After first studying Media Makeup and Hair at Preston College, Melanie returned to build on her creative talents and take the next step towards achieving her ambition of becoming self-employed.
Now studying the Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Hairdressing, Melanie is developing the technical skills, confidence and industry knowledge needed to transform her passion into a successful business. By specialising in alternative and themed wedding hair, she is creating a professional portfolio that showcases her creativity, helps define her unique style and prepares her to launch her own career in the creative industries.
Balancing her studies alongside family life, Melanie has embraced every opportunity to develop her skills, gain valuable experience through competitions and practical work, and build the confidence to pursue her entrepreneurial ambitions.
