HOW WILL I BE TAUGHT?

You will be taught by our experienced and passionate tutors who will help you explore the industry and the opportunities available such as content creator, shoutcaster, social media manager, coach, and stream production. These hands-on experiences not only prepare you for working in the industry but will also enhance your assignment work and CV.

HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?

There are no exams on this course. You will be assessed by coursework completing projects and developing a portfolio.

WHAT CAN I DO NEXT?

You can progress to a Level 3 course at Preston College in IT, Media or Games and Graphics, alternatively you could seek employment as an apprentice in a related area.

After a Level 3 course you can progress to esports degrees at a number of universities around the UK. If you would like to progress to university please speak to your tutor for advice and guidance.

Careers in esports can be varied and you can pursue the area you are interested in or use your skills to move to a different industry. Roles in esports include players, coaches, shoutcasters, journalists, broadcasters and player management. Find out more by visiting the British eports website here. 

IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE I NEED TO KNOW?

Esports students have the unique chance to try out for the prestigious Preston College esports team partnered by Preston North End Community Trust. Plus, they can actively contribute to organising the College's British ESports Student Championships alongside their studies.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

You need four GCSEs at grade 3 (D) or above including English Language and maths.
