Students claim victory in the battle for this year’s WAR Paint Awards!

On Monday 25th May United Makeup Artists Expo (UMAE) hosted their first live, in person, Warpaint make up competition in over two years. Taking place in Liverpool, they welcomed a high volume of contestants from a range of colleges.

Emma Rutherford, Warpaint’s Editorial Director, hosted the competition, and gathered a collection of industry experts to judge the looks the students designed and created.  Students competed in Bodypainting – themed “all the world’s a stage”, Creative – themed “sacred spaces”, Fashion – themed “geometry”, Character – themed “the Marvel universe” and Bridal – themed “international bride”.

The judges were impressed by the high standard, making it a tough decision to choose the winning looks.

A huge congratulations goes to Preston College learners Faye Smith and Erin Livermore!
