Friday 4th October 2019 saw Preston’s College Human Resources, Finance, External Grants and Funding and Employer Engagement teams support national charity, Macmillan, by hosting an in-college coffee morning.
With a variety of home baked sweet treats on offer, from cakes to cookies, with the support of learners and staff at Preston’s College, through the baking, buying and eating of a variety of cakes and biscuits, the teams raised an impressive £312 for MacMillan Cancer Support!
Senior HR Officer and organiser of the event, Gemma said: “We decided to raise money for Macmillan as it is a cause close to many of our hearts. Unfortunately, there aren’t many people who have not been impacted by cancer in one way or another and it is a devastating disease. We hope that by raising money for such a worthwhile cause, it will go some way towards assisting with the great work that Macmillan do.”
Preston’s College would like to thank everyone who supported the event!
