Preston’s College is delighted to be supporting the national ‘Love Our Colleges’ campaign, taking place from 14th-18th October 2019.
The campaign, building upon the success of last year’s activity, aims to showcase how colleges nationally transform lives, shape communities and boost the wider economy, whilst highlighting the importance of the vital work undertaken by colleges and the crucial need for long-term, future investment.
Showcasing the amazing work undertaken in the Further Education sector on a daily basis, including educating 2.2 million people every year, the week intends to ensure the voices of colleges are heard and continue to be a political, economic and social priority.
Throughout the week, Preston’s College will be showcasing just a small selection of the great work undertaken, including events, specialist features and trips and visits that enhance the college experience. A highlight of the week is anticipated to be the guest speaker from Network Rail, sharing their experiences of working within a multi-million pound national business.
Speaking about the week, Dr Lis Smith, Principal and Chief Executive Officer at Preston’s College commented:
“Preston’s College are delighted to be supporting the ‘Love Our Colleges’ campaign from 14th October 2019, a national campaign that allows us to demonstrate our strong reputation for the delivery of highly effective, technical education to all. An essential part of the education and training system, Preston’s College supports learners of all ages and backgrounds, supporting them in achieving career goals to become the most employable. The week provides an opportunity to highlight the important need for continual and further investment in the sector.”
