Following the latest Government announcement yesterday, plans for learners returning to college in the new year are now different to those previously communicated.
Monday 4th January 2021 will be an inset day for all learners at the college, with remote learning taking place for everyone from Tuesday 5th January and continuing for the remainder of the week.
Pre-arranged on-site examinations will, however, take place as planned, as these form a critical part of successful programme completion for all learners.
Adult learners, apprentices and higher education learners will continue with remote learning until Monday 18th January 2021.
We anticipate the return to blended learning (a mixture of on-site and remote learning) for all 16-19 year old learners from Monday 11th January, however, this will depend upon the receipt of further guidance, with more detail being provided and confirmed next week.
Any additional exceptions to the above will be communicated directly to those affected, where appropriate.
If further guidance from the Department of Education is received, which changes this position, we will communicate this to all learners, parents and carers using our website, social media channels and text messaging.
Further updates will be provided as next week progresses and as always, Preston’s College would like to thank you for your continued understanding and support at this time.
If you have any queries or concerns, please do not hesitate to email: corona@preston.ac.uk, where your query will be directed to the most appropriate member of staff.
