This week, Hair and Beauty learners have been raising money for the Hair & Beauty Charity. The Hair & Beauty Charity offer financial support to individuals and their families facing difficult times due to unforeseen circumstances such as illness, bereavement and financial hardship and have done so, since 1836.
The learners were tasked to create a range of activities throughout the week including raffles, bake sales and events in order to raise funds for the good cause. They were also given the responsibility of advertising the event within the college, as part of their salon marketing/branding part of the course.
Mandy Greenall, Hair and Beauty tutor at the college said; “It’s been a brilliant week, the learners have really enjoyed it. It’s certainly been busy – we timed it with assessment week so this was the first time this year we were able to invite public clients into the salon for our learners to work with. They’ve all done a great job with the event and we’re looking forward to the next one being even bigger and better.”
The Elements Hair & Beauty Salon on the college high street will reopen after half term and continue to offer discounted treatments in a professionally equipped, supervised environment. Should you wish to book an appointment or would like more information, please call the salon on 01772 22 54 52
