A former Actor Training Academy (ATA) learner at Preston College has landed a role in Hollyoaks!

Matt McGivern graduated from ATA in 2018 and continued his actor training at the Guildford School of Acting. Taking to Twitter Matt has recently announced his new role as Sam Chen-Williams in Hollyoaks.

John-Mark Reid is the Lead Lecturer of the ATA at Preston College and had this to say on the exciting news: “We were not surprised in the slightest to hear of Matt’s success, every day we spent with him his drive to be better stood out. His goal was clearly in sights throughout his time at ATA and he was a true joy to work with.

His year group was a very memorable one, with some fantastic personalities within it and Matt was in the centre of everything they produced. I am certain we will hear more and more about his success, we feel very privileged to have been a part of his actor training journey!”

Preston College and the Actor Training Academy would like to wish Matt all the best of luck for his new role.
