This week, former Travel and Events student Chloe Mason returned to deliver a generous donation from her company, Spencer Clarke Group to support our Level 3 Christmas event held on Tuesday.
Just two years ago, Chloe would have been running her own event, much like our current students, and it’s incredible to see how far she’s come since then.
Helen Pye, lecturer for Events Management and Tourism says: “Chloe joined Preston College in 2022 and quickly stood out, excelling both academically and personally. From the very beginning, we could tell she was destined for great things. Her hard work and dedication even earned her a spot as a Student of the Year finalist!”
For her second-year work placement, Preston College connected Chloe with the Spencer Clarke Group, a highly successful recruitment company that specialises in matching the right candidates with roles across various industries.
Chloe found her passion in marketing and recruitment, and this led to a conversation about taking that interest into the professional world. The team at Spencer Clarke Group were so impressed with Chloe during her placement that, after completing her qualification, they invited her to interview for a full-time position. Fast forward six months, and Chloe has successfully passed her probation and is now a valued member of their team!
Helen adds: “A huge thank you to Chloe and Spencer Clarke Group for their continued support and for providing this amazing prize for our staff and adult learners. We’re incredibly grateful for the opportunity and proud to see Chloe thriving in her career.”
Here’s to many more successes, Chloe!
