At Preston College, we’re proud to celebrate the achievements of our students, and Maddie’s story is a fantastic example of where passion and perseverance can lead.
Maddie recently qualified as a Level 2 Hair Professional apprentice, and her journey began at just 15 years old. Working part-time as a Saturday girl in a local salon, she quickly discovered her love for hairdressing and knew it was the career she wanted to pursue.
Maddie says: “I started my hairdressing journey at 15, working as a Saturday girl. From that age, I knew this was what I wanted to do. I began my apprenticeship at 16, and although there were ups and downs, the support from my college tutors and work colleagues helped me through. Now, at 17, I’m proud to say I’m a qualified stylist.”
We’re thrilled to share stories like Maddie’s, not only to celebrate our students’ success, but to inspire others to see what’s possible.
