Preston College named as a Finalist at the Construction Apprenticeship Awards 2025

Preston College are thrilled to announce we have been named as a finalist for ‘Construction Apprenticeship College/University of the Year’.

Just today (Thursday 25 September), a panel of judges at the Construction Apprenticeship Awards have met with our curriculum, delivery, and quality teams and have named Preston College just one of two finalists!

Over the past academic year, our construction apprenticeship provision has continued to grow and lead nationally, setting high standards in student support, employer engagement, curriculum innovation, and industry relevance.

With 476 active apprentices across our construction pathways, Preston College is proud to be performing 8% above the national average collectively across standards.

Mark Taylor, Director of Construction at Preston College say: “Being named as a finalist is so rewarding. This recognition reflects the incredible work of our staff, students and employer partners.

“At the College we believe we are raising the bar for what construction apprenticeship delivery looks like. In a year of national challenge, we have remained ambitious, responsive, and committed to our apprentices, our employers, and the future of the construction workforce.”

He adds: “Winning this award would not just recognise our achievements, it would celebrate the dedication of every apprentice, tutor, employer, and partner who has contributed to this shared success.”
