On March 18, our Level 3 IT students participated in and won the Lancashire and Cumbria Institute of Technology World Skills Cyber Competition, held at Blackpool University Centre.
This county-wide digital competition focused on 3 different cybersecurity activities including, analysing data, developing a mobile app using UI and UX, and detecting threats and fixing a PC. Allowing students to showcase a variety of skills learnt in lessons and put them into place in a competitive setting.
Four colleges attended this competition from across Lancashire, each offering teams of Level 4 and 5 students, which makes our success in this competition an even greater achievement, with our Level 3 students bringing back the trophy.
This reinforces the level of excellence in teaching and learning at Preston College and dedication of our students – congratulations!
