Preston’s College are able to offer carpentry and joinery courses for adults at level 1, level 2 and level 3.
The level 1 course provides a fantastic introduction to the subject and is ideal for those considering a career in the sector, as well as those keen to develop basic skills for DIY and home improvement purposes.
Under the guidance of our industry experienced tutors you will develop the key practical skills and knowledge needed to produce basic wood working joints, maintain and use carpentry hand tools and prepare and use relevant power tools. Upon successful completion, you will have progression opportunities to level 2.
As part of the level 2 programme you will develop higher level knowledge in a wide variety of skills, including first and second fix joinery, roofing, door hanging, kitchens, guttering, pipe boxing and much more!
Level 3 opportunities are available to those working in industry, by way of the Site Carpentry NVQ Diploma, which could be free if you don’t already hold a level 3 qualification (or higher), are aged 24+ and live in Lancashire!
