Join Preston’s College in Celebrating VE Day!
Preston’s College staff and students have teamed up to release their own rendition of Vera Lynn’s We’ll Meet Again. The song has become synonymous not only with the WWII era , but with current VE Day celebrations.
The college wanted to show support and admiration for all who gave so much during WWII, and whilst larger events across the campus are unable to go ahead today, it certainly didn’t stop the college staff and students putting on a show. The sing-a-long video is led by various performing arts staff and students, accompanied by other students and staff members right across various teams and provisions.
Jane Tudor, Head of School for Visual & Performing Arts said: “I think with everything we have going on at the moment, we really just wanted to try to put a smile on some people’s faces, and with such a great cause and meaning behind VE Day, we felt it was a perfect opportunity to do something a bit special. The students have loved being able to virtually perform, and I’m sure some of the staff have to – whether they admit it or not!”
