Attendance & Punctuality

College policy states that attendance and punctuality must be above 90%, with the expectation that learners have 100%.

If a learner is going to be absent then they must contact the College via the Absence Hotline at https://www.preston.ac.uk/report-your-absence

If a learner is unable to report their absence, you can contact the College on their behalf using the details above. If you wish to speak to a student manager you will find the contact details on the Student Manager Contact Details page.

Registers are marked electronically in every lesson.

Attendance Monitoring Text Message Service

The College delivers an attendance monitoring text messaging service for all 16 to 18 learners, which will commence from Monday 23 September. This will be a notification at the end of each day to indicate where a student has been marked absent. If your child/young person is absent from any taught session in their timetabled day, you will receive notification after 4.30pm.  These text messages will be sent to parents whom the College has permissions from students to contact parents or guardians.
