Coronavirus – important update

Following the Government’s announcement on Monday 4th January 2021, Preston’s College will be moving to online and home learning for all learners from Tuesday 5th January 2021, until further notice.

As a result, learners should not attend college premises but are required to continue their studies from home through distance learning methods.

Previously communicated plans, for a return to blended learning from week commencing Monday 11th January and week commencing Monday 18th January, no longer apply. Online and remote learning will continue until further notice.

In light of the new, national lockdown, we have taken the decision to cancel all pre-planned examinations due to take place this term.  We await further guidance from the awarding bodies in relation to either new exam dates or alternative assessment, and as soon as we receive this, we will communicate with all affected learners. Please click here for full details.

Once additional guidance from the Department of Education is received, we will communicate this to all learners, parents and carers using our website, social media channels and text messaging.

The health, wellbeing and safety of all of our learners and staff is vitally important to us, so please do follow all of the guidance that is being provided.

We are committed to ensuring learners are not disadvantaged by the on-going coronavirus pandemic and would like to take the opportunity to remind everyone that all of our support services are still accessible at this time. For full details, click here.

In addition, our SEND team will continue to support those learners with additional needs and they can be contacted on: send@preston.ac.uk or telephone: 01772 225000.

The IT helpdesk can also be contacted by email on: helpdesk@preston.ac.uk or telephone: 01772 225115, should technical support be required.

If you have any queries or concerns in relation to the latest announcement, please do not hesitate to email: corona@preston.ac.uk, where your query will be directed to the most appropriate member of staff.
