John Boydell is a corporate lawyer and for many years was a partner in regional law firm, Brabners, based at its Preston office in Chapel Street, although his ‘day job’ for a number of years has been as a management consultant, specialising in strategy development. He was an early internet entrepreneur forming, in 1998, an internet services company, which developed its own secure money transmission and online shopping software. John has been Chair of the Board at Preston College since 2016 and as Chair enjoys his role in helping to shape the direction of the College in serving its learners and community. He expresses himself as unashamedly “proud” of Preston College. When time allows, John enjoys writing fiction and screenplays, learning languages and likes to keep fit. He’s happily married, with grown up children, none of whom have chosen a career in law!
