The Centre of Sporting Excellence is a new and exclusive partnership between Preston North End Community and Education Trust (PNECET) and Preston College. The partnership provides high quality technical education programmes from levels one to three. There is also an opportunity to represent both organisations at a competitive level in national leagues and sporting competitions.
You will be trained by UEFA B coaches and compete in the EFL CEFA League and ECFA League. Tutors have acquired a wealth of knowledge and experience from various careers and pathways, all of which enables them to provide you with practical, informed education.
During your time at the Centre of Sporting Excellence, you will also gain experience working within the sports industry through various work placements. These are bolstered by plenty of enrichment activities, including trips abroad to the USA and Spain, as well as participation in the National Citizen Service programme.
Below you’ll find a brief introduction to the course from ex Preston North End player, now PNECET tutor – Graeme Atkinson, and unique insights into a career within the sports industry from local people.
