Painting and Decorating
Preston’s College are able to offer painting and decorating courses for adults at level 1, level 2 and level 3.
The level 1 course provides a fantastic introduction to the subject and is ideal for those considering a career in the sector, as well as those keen to develop basic skills for DIY and home improvement purposes.
Under the guidance of our industry experienced tutors you will have the opportunity to learn new skills in basic preparation of surfaces, paint and wall paper application and health and safety. Upon successful completion, progression opportunities to level 2 are available.
As part of the level 2 programme you will develop higher level knowledge in a wide variety of skills, including decorative finishes in marbling and wood graining, applying water borne paints by high volume, low pressure spray systems, higher level skills in brush and roller painting and wallpapering and much more!
Level 3 opportunities are available to those working in industry, by way of the Painting and Decorating (Decorative Finishing) NVQ Diploma, which could be free if you don’t already hold a level 3 qualification (or higher), are aged 24+ and live in Lancashire!
