LEARNING ZONE
Our Learning Zone Team are always on hand to help you access the resources, services and support needed to develop your own independent study and research skills. Offering a huge range of workshops, supporting you in developing Harvard referencing, assignment writing and critical analysis, the Learning Zone is situated near the main reception. The Learning Zone also has group and individual study rooms for those working on group activities and presentations, alongside areas reserved exclusively for those adults studying on Higher Education courses with us.
FACILITIES
We have a range of outstanding facilities across all of our courses, including a newly renovated Construction Skills Centre, 100 seat theatre and state-of-the-art iSTEM Centre – home to an array of course specific facilities, including purpose built engineering workshops, subsonic wind tunnels and fully equipped science laboratories. The wider campus also has the added benefit of an on-site fitness centre, barbering and beauty salons, all of which are available to learners, at heavily discounted prices!
CATERING
As well as developing the right skills and knowledge for success in your chosen career, we will support you in ensuring you get the most out of your time with us. This could be through valuable work experience opportunities or participation in a range of enrichment activities, such as The Student Council or Learner Voice groups.
You may also have the opportunity to participate in a range of course related trips and visits, opportunities to work on live briefs and projects for employers and receive real industry insight from a range of engaging guest speakers.
You will have access to a wide range of leisure facilities here at Preston College, including a heavily discounted Starbucks coffee shop and a fully functioning gym, squash court and sports centre, should you wish to join.
